Leaders of Okuapeman Global Foundation, arguable one of the fast-rising ethnic foundation, has sent some words of thoughtfulness to Ghanaians especially the indigenes of Akuapem as Ghana march to its general presidential and parliamentary elections.
According to the release signed by the chairman of the foundation, Kwadwo Kissiedu Kwapong and Nana Bekoe Dankwah (Executive Secretary), Ghana for decades is known for peace and counsel it remains so.
“Ghana, known as a beacon of Democracy in Africa and the world at large, has successfully been to the polls 7 times in the last two decades and as one People let’s “Make Peace Win” in this upcoming election”.
According to Kwadwo Kissiedu Kwapong, in order to retain the peaceful nature the country has, all forms of violence, which he classified as ‘political violence’ against the electoral commission of Ghana, political candidates and the citizenry must be avoided.
“We love peace and we enjoy peace. Neighbours around us celebrate with us the peace we have nurtured and enjoy within our borders. Let no man take this away from us. Let us all together, guard the peace and avoid unnecessary tensions at this very crucial moment of our electoral cycle.” He added.
