A 42-year old man is in police grips for slashing the ear of his son over GHS250.00 at Obom in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra region.
The suspect, Osman Mumuni, angrily slashed the son’s ear after recognizing the victim has stolen the money to buy clothes ahead of the Ramadan celebration after the ongoing fasting.
Bryt FM reporter, Eric Owusu Amponsah report, the suspect has accepted the responsibility of the crime with an excuse being that the victim is found off stealing.
The victim, explaining his ordeal to the reporter indicated that he took the money because the suspect has failed to buy him clothes whenever the season of Ramadan is celebrated.
However, the victim has been treated and discharged as a search at the suspect’s house after his arrest failed to produce the lost ear.
The police have taken up the matter and have commenced an investigation into it.
