A 45-year-old man Gideon Adoduadzi has been arrested by Police in Atimpoku in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region for stealing pregnant goat.
His accomplice however managed to escape.
Information gathered indicate that on Sunday, June 21, 2020, about 3:10 am
Police Constable Theophilus Kyereme in charge of two men on duty at Adomi toll bridge barrier arrested and brought to the Atimpoku Police station suspect Gideon Adoduadzi with a pregnant goat and reported that whiles on duty at about 2:40 am at the toll bridge, the said suspect was on board unregistered haojue motorbike with one other in charge the motorbike whose name he gave as Alex but manage to run away.
That the suspects were carrying the said pregnant goat and police suspected it was stolen. Upon interrogation, suspect Gideon Adoduadzi admitted that they stole it in Atimpoku and were sending it to Juapong.
According to Sargeant Francis Gomado, the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, the suspect has been detained.
He said the exhibit to wit pregnant goat and unregistered haojue motorbike with its ignition key impounded at the station for further investigation.
