Asante Kotoko defender Abdul Ganiyu believes Mariano Bareto is more of a manager than a coach following his influence at the club.
The Portuguese trainer joined the Porcupine Warriors prior to the start of the second round of the Ghana Premier League and has lived up to expectations.
The two-time African Champions are on top of the league table with 41points after 23 matches.
In an interview with SportsworldGhana.com, Abdul Ganiyu noted the former Black Stars trainer understands every player in the team and is very easy to get the best out of the team as he understands the game very well.
“Coach Mariano Bareto is a manager, not a coach I think he understands every player’s individual capabilities, and it’s kind of let’s say easier for players to understand what he wants and what you are to do when you are giving the chance is not like we are been forced or trying to just make something extraordinary he understands the game much and he knows what each and every player can do so he tries to just add a little bit to it to give you the confidence to give your best.” He said.
He continued that, “He is one of the best managers I have worked with, am grateful meeting him and we are looking forward to having a very long and long time and see where Isha Allah we will take the club to. Such a great coach.”
