Denmark Ambassador, Tom Nørring on Tuesday, 13th September 2022 signed a cooperation agreement between the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) and Denmark.
Over 15 mil. DKK (EURO 2 million) will be provided over the next five years to enhance research and collaboration in the region on maritime security issues including Women, Peace and Security aspects.
Furthermore, KAIPTC will develop a ‘Maritime Security Reporting’ course with the aim to enhance the knowledge of media personnel on maritime topics for better reporting.
This commitment is part of Denmark’s Maritime Security Programme for the Gulf of Guinea.
