The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben South, Hon. Ransford Boakye, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to advancing a bold development agenda for the municipality. He expressed profound appreciation to former President John Dramani Mahama for entrusting him with the opportunity to serve.

Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony for an ultra-modern CHPS compound in Agavanya, Hon. Ransford Boakye emphasized that his appointment is not merely symbolic but a call to meaningful action.
He explained that the project aims to improve healthcare delivery in the New Juaben South Municipality.
“This opportunity given to me is not to sit idle but to help accelerate the development of our municipality,” he affirmed.

The MCE highlighted several ongoing infrastructure projects initiated by the Assembly in key sectors such as education, health, and water supply.
Hon. Ransford Boakye disclosed that construction is currently underway on two or three new school buildings and assured residents of visible and transformative progress across various sectors by the end of 2026.
Among the flagship projects is the construction of a six-classroom block for Zion Primary ‘B’ School at Apempowah. In addition, plans are being implemented to drill 18 boreholes across the municipality to improve access to clean water in underserved communities.

Hon. Ransford Boakye also encouraged his fellow leaders in the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to remain steadfast in pursuing their development goals.
“We must ensure that by the end of our four-year term, we can proudly point to at least one or two tangible projects completed for our people,” Hon. Boakye urged.
He further revealed that President Mahama has directed all MMDCEs to ensure the completion of at least one major development project in their districts by December this year. Hon. Boakye expressed confidence that all assemblies are working diligently to fulfill this national directive.
In his closing remarks, he appealed to stakeholders, development partners, and community members to continue supporting the Assembly’s initiatives—particularly in education, healthcare, clean water, and youth empowerment.

“With your support, we can achieve lasting improvements in the lives of our citizens and make New Juaben South a model municipality,” said the MCE.
