Born in the mid-1980s at Yorro Berri Kunda (YBK) village, in the Upper Fulladou West District, Central River Region, Ebrima, fifteen (15) years into the teaching profession, has graduated with a degree in Geography.
Ebrima, who worked with the defunct Daily Observer as a freelancer between 2004 and 2005, mainly covering judiciary cases at the Kanifing Magistrate’s Court before leaving in 2006, said giving up was never an option.
In 2005, his immense love for teaching and learning made him join the Gambia College, to pursue a Primary Teachers’ Certificate (PTC).
And in 2010, he would return to the same college to pursue a Higher Teachers’ Certificate [HTC] programme.
Again, in his quest for education at the highest level, applied and secured admission in 2015 at the University of the Gambia, where he majored in Geography with a minor in History.
With vast experience in the teaching field, Ebrima is said to be popular and loved by his colleagues, students, and superior officials at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE).
