Ishmael Nii Arku is 36 years old and he is a husband and a father of one.
In February 2022, Ishmael was rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Centre after fainting and complaining of severe migraines.
He was later referred to the Swedish Ghana Medical Centre where a scan revealed a cancerous tumour in the brain.
The diagnosis revealed that he needs to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy immediately if he should stand any chance of survival within the next 6 months.
Ishmael was a workingman up until the time his condition deteriorated and has since lost his job as he is unable to work.
His wife has also been compelled to stop working to take care of him and the family barely make ends meet to survive daily.
Ishmael requires GHC50,000 to cover medical expenses for chemotherapy, radiotherapy and medication for the next 6 months.
