This nurse, Zeinab Ali is alleged to be on the run, after pouring hot water on her husband over a misunderstanding last Saturday.
Nurse Zeinab who is a nurse at the Emergency Burns Unit, Red Zone at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, poured the hot water on her husband, after he allegedly refused to let her use his car.
The nurse, who has two kids with the man is claimed to have poured the hot water on his body and face, causing severe burns on her husband.
The husband is currently recceiving treatment at the same unit she works with, while she absconded.
My sources at the TTH confirm they have such a case but say the matter is yet to be officially reported to the management of the facility.
My sources add that since the incident is unrelated to her professional conduct and did not happen in the name of her being a staff of the facility, it may be difficult to initiate disciplinary measures against the accused.
However, they say that once it is a criminal matter, the facility will coperate fully with the police to ensure the nurse is made to face the full rigors of the law.
