The Managing Director of MF Production, Isaac Kofi Kpodo, has officially launched the media engagement for Christian Honours, an event aimed at recognising men, women, and organisations that have significantly impacted Ghana through Christianity over the past decades.
Speaking to the media, Mr Kpodo explained that the purpose of the media launch is to introduce Christian Honours to Ghanaians and create awareness about the vision behind the event. He noted that the initiative seeks to honour Christian men and women who have contributed to national development and spiritual growth over the past 35 to 45 years.
According to him, the awards scheme will feature twelve categories in total. These include eight main categories, each with three subcategories. In all, about 60 individuals and groups will be recognised, alongside five institutions or organisations selected under the various categories.
Mr Kpodo emphasized that the initiative is inspired by biblical principles, noting that the Bible teaches believers to give honour to whom honour is due. He stressed the importance of recognising spiritual fathers and mothers who have dedicated their lives to God’s work and have shaped the lives of many Ghanaians over the years.
He further explained that while churches often organise annual awards to appreciate good work, Christian Honours goes beyond that by recognising the national impact of these Christian leaders. He noted that many people today are who they are because of the guidance, teachings, and influence of these men and women of God over the years.
Mr Kpodo concluded that honouring such individuals is not about rewarding them materially, but about acknowledging and appreciating their lifelong contributions to society, just as one would honour a deserving father or mother.
