The Inspector-General of Police has dispatched specialized investigators from CID Headquarters to support the Central region’s Crime Scene Team to investigate the killing of the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency Hon. Ekow Quansah.
Meanwhile, the Central Regional Police Command has taken over the investigation from the local. The Central Regional Police Commander and the Regional Crime officer has led an entourage to the scene of the crime for a fact-finding mission
The Central Regional Security Council has held a meeting over the incident.
The Inspector-General of Police James Oppong-Boanuh has also placed a GHC20,000 bounty on the killers of Mfantseman Member of Parliament Ekow Quansah on Friday dawn.
The MP was gunned down by armed robbers when he was returning from a campaign at Nkusukum on the Mankessim-Abeadze Duadze road on Friday 9th October 2020 around 1:00am.
It added, “A reward of twenty thousand Ghana Cedis (20,000.00) has also been offered to any person who gives credible information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators, while the public is being urged to remain calm.”
