The Finance Minister’s much-anticipated Mid-Year Budget Review has been rescheduled until Monday, July 31.
The presentation was initially set for July 27, 2023, but was then moved to July 25, 2023, only to be postponed once again until further notice.
Members of Parliament (MPs) and the general public are both curious about the last-minute cancellation of the budget review, and there are many theories floating about as to why it was delayed.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, said in a statement to the House that the Finance Minister will hold an intensive meeting with MPs on Friday, July 28, 2023, before of the rescheduled presentation.
