On Wednesday 29th June, 2022, accompanied by the Appiatse Reconstruction Implementation Committee, the Lands and Natural Resources minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor paid a visit to the Appiatse community.
The visit was to assess the conditions of the members since their relocation to the temporary structures and inspect the state of the reconstruction.
According to the minister, by dint of hard work, the Masterplan for the reconstruction is complete, and that Government will soon cut the sod to commence the construction of the core part of the community, made up of 124 housing units of one to seven bedrooms.
Mr. Abu Jinapor assured the community of Government’s commitment to reconstruct the community to a green, modern and sustainable one.
He also made a modest personal donation of assorted food items of bags of rice, sugar, cooking oil, among others, and cash amount of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS10,000.00) to support the victims of the incident.
