The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has announced today to be the start of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty Program that aims at reducing poverty among the less privileged ones in the society.
The Hon. Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection Naa Momo Lartey indicated that the cash grant for a household has increased from 250 cedis to 320 cedis and an the amount for two eligible has also increased from 304 cedis to 380 cedis .
According to her, the president of Ghana is determined to reduce the cost of living by making right decisions to stimulate Ghanas economic growth and that the government is taking measures to enhance the real value of the LEAP cash grant and it impact on ordinary Ghanians .

The Hon. Minister also urged all beneficial households to prioritize household nutrition, children education and invest in income generation activities and should equally begin to adopt a saving culture based on on clear house holds consumption needs.
