Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Badu Sarkodie have said the Ministry of Information is ready to educate the public on Coronavirus, which has been declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a Pandemic disease that is prevalent over a whole country or the world.
According to him, Coronavirus has killed many people all over the world and it has created fear and panics especially the African countries.
Dr Badu Sarkodie says the Ghana Health Service is still investigating the matter with the support of the Kumasi Center for Collaborative Research.
He said the Health Service is doing heath screening in the various borders of the country.
Speaking to Abena Pokua Awhenee on Dadi FM’s “Efa wo ho” morning show, Dr Badu Sarkodie has said the country has put measures in place to restrict travels into the country.
“If the country records a case they will restrict social gardening in the country because prevention is better than cure,’’ he stated.
Even His Excellency Nana Addo has avoided handshaking which serves as a clear example for Ghanaians to learn from.
“Every suspected case should be reported to the hospitals immediately,’’ he added.
He then urges all Ghanaians to try their possible best to practice better sanitation because convid -19 has become a global crisis not just an outbreak.
