Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga has stated categorically that following multiple talks with members who were displeased with the minority leadership shuffle decision, the party had been able to resolve all difficulties.
Speaking on the Point of View on Monday, Mr. Ayariga said the Minority in Parliament will have a smooth transition of leadership in Parliament on Tuesday when the House reconvenes.
“We have resolved our internal issues, Thank God…so on Tuesday you will see a very orderly transition from one group of leaders to the other,” Mr. Ayariga said.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) said on Monday that problems with the Minority leadership reshuffle in Parliament have been resolved.
On Monday, February 6, 2023, the National Executives, the NDC Council of Elders, and the Minority Caucus in Parliament met and made this pronouncement.
A number of party leaders, including the NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, his General Secretary Fifi Kwetey, and Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi were present at the meeting, which was held at the DF Annan Auditorium in Parliament.
