The minority in Parliament through its ranking member on Economy and Development committee, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has called on government to withdraw the ¢1 tax imposed on fue for further consultation
Speaking at a pres conference held in Parliament, the causus strongly opposed this tax says it will bring more hardship on Ghanaians.
Moreover, they expressed worry on government failure to consults stakeholders before introducing these tax, adding that for Parliament to passed the Energy Sector Levy Amendment Bill 2025 at midnight is robbery.
Also, the ranking member on Energy Committee, George Kwame Aboagye stated categorically that the NDC government has failed Ghanians since they promised not to imposed taxes.
