Senior Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor Eric Kwabena Kyeh Abavare has described the minority caucus appeal to foreign diplomats as a mere political gimmick.
According to him, the action of Rev. Ntim Fordjour and the NPP lawmakers is just to gain political favour but not something that carries any wait.
Speaking to Kwahu Dehyee on Bryt Adekyee Mu Nsem on Wednesday, April 9, Professor Abavare indicated that the matter would not yield any better outcome as they are mere political allegations, as has been the norm in Ghana’s political character.
He was, however, surprised the zeal the minority has taken up the matter as he made reference to an incident that occured in 2006 during the tenure of Kufuor-led NPP administration.
The minority members in Parliament has made official petition to foreign diplomats to assist Ghana investigate alleged drug activities in the country for the past months since the NDC took over the governance of the country.
