The Single Window Citizens Engagement Service (SWCES), a unit under the Social Protection Directorate of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), has organized a five-day workshop to train Case Management Officers (CMOs) of the call center to be proficient with best practices in Social Protection Programmes.
The five-day training which commenced on Monday 5th June ended on Friday, 9th June 2023 in the Eastern Region.
Among other things, the workshop sought to
- Enable participants to have a shared understanding of SP flagship programmes and other social issues.
-Equip participants with tools and skills for using UCMS for grievance redress management.
-Equip participants with effective communication skills (written and oral).
-Equip participants with skills in handling emotional trauma and psychological issues.
The SWCES has two integral parts; the Helpline of Hope Call Centre, a complaint handling service which operates the toll-free lines 0800-800-800 and 0800-900-900 as well as a United Case Management System (UCMS) which is web-based grievance redress system for receiving grievances, logging, classifying and attribution of cases to appropriate programmes, as well as provision of feedback to complainant.
