The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of trained nurses who are yet to be posted.
In a meeting on Wednesday, the Minister warmly received the executives of the unposted 2020 batch of nurses who expressed their frustrations over the delay in their deployment. The group outlined the personal and professional challenges they have faced because of the prolonged wait.
Hon. Akandoh acknowledged their concerns and expressed empathy for their situation. He assured the nurses that the Ministry is actively engaging with relevant stakeholders, including the Ministry of Finance to secure the necessary financial clearance for their posting.
“The Ministry values the contribution of every trained health professional to the development of our healthcare system. We are working tirelessly to ensure that every trained nurse is posted,” the Minister stated.
