Residents in the Ekumfi District are calling on the government to supply the Ekumfi Fruits and Juice factory with more machine to enable them to produce more products.
Residents revealed that the Eku juice factory as affectionately called which is said to be the first factory established under the New Patriotic Party’s policy “One District One Factory” has provided job opportunity for the youth in the district and its surrounding hence an increase in economic growth in the country curbing poverty rate.
The residents lament comparing the high number of people being employed into the company against the number of machines available in the factory, which to them is insufficient to them to produce more tones of juice per hour.
They commended the government for this policy but are appealing to them to supply the factory with the adequate machines to enable them to process more fruit juice which exceeds market expectation.
The juice according to the director of operations for Ekumfi juice and fruit factory, Mr Frederick Kobbyna Acquaah has gone through the process of sterilization and pasteurization just to give it a longer life span hence recommended for everyone as Christmas is approaching.
