People living along the Sefwi Tanoso Praso to Sefwi Adupri stretch road could not hide their joy when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency, Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng popularly known as Approachers cut sod for the construction of a 5km access road from Sefwi Tanoso Praso to Sefwi Adupri within the Constituency.
The project awarded to Mr. Daniel Kofi Obeng the CEO of Obeng Brothers Construction Limited is scheduled to be completed within a year,the Member for Parliament disclosed this during the sod cutting ceremony.
Speaking with Hamza Mohammed, he says access roads when completed, according to him , will boost economic activities between the Communities and the constituence at large.
He reiterated his commitment to serving the people of the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency who gave him the mandate to serve them as Member of Parliament and assured them of doing his best for them to get their share of the national cake.
The MP said he is fulfilling his promises he made to the constituents which the evidence is there for all to see and appealed to the citizenry to renew their mandate come December 7,2024 general elections for him to be able to continue his good works she is doing.
Nana Kwesi Awuah Tinakwa II, the Chief of Sefwi Adupri thanked the law maker for fulfilling his promise. He warned youth who will be employed to stay away from stealing of some of the materials for the work.
Mr.Erick Ackah , the Assembly Member for Sefwi Pataboso Afamu electoral area where the bridge will be constructe said the bridge after completion would replace the old wooden bridge that link the Afamu Community and and their farms.
He said whenever it rains and the river overflows its bank, the area is cut off as the bridge is submerged by water compelling residents to use a different route to nearby farms.He also thanked the MP for his kind gesture.
