Tarkwa-Nsuaem Member of Parliament, George Mireku-Duker joined the staff and old students of Tarkwa Senior High School (TARSCO) to celebrate with them, the school’s 60th Anniversary.
The MP who is also the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources used the opportunity to commend the milestone achieved by the school in the areas of properly developing students with most of her products making giant strides in both private and public service in the Country.
He indicated the support of my government towards the development of TARSCO through the instrumentality of his office.
Some notable of those developments are the construction of the 600-capacity dormitory block, 6-unit classroom block, provision of a school bus and the construction of the schools’ inner-campus roads.
He again urged the leadership of the school to be relentless in their effort to continue imbibing in students the discipline that is required to excel in their academics while embracing the trends in technological advancements in teaching and learning.
The MP donated Twenty-Thousand (GHc20,000.00) to support TARSCO’s participation in next year’s science and maths quiz competition and later held dinner with Staff and Old students of TARSCO to make merry on their Diamond Jubilee.
