The Member of Parliament for Tamale South Constituency, Haruna Iddrisu has provided medical equipment worth thousands of Ghana cedis to Fooshegu health centre in the constituency.
On his behalf, the NDC Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Abdul Rauf Zaa Nyeya presented the items to the chief of the community for onward presentation to the hospital staff.
“These items you are seeing here are a request by the people of Fooshegu and the hospital staff to our MP, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu which has been granted. We gave them options, new health facility or renovation of the old one. And the hospital staff made a request for these items”, chairman Zaa Nyeya said.
“But we are fulfilling this and will soon build the new one for them in addition. We hope this will help improve health delivery in the community and it’s environs”, he added.
He also hinted that the MP who doubles as minority leader will be fixing the problem related to the dam in the area to enable them get better drinking water, adding that the matter is on priority list of Lawyer Haruna Iddrisu.
The items presented are ; delivery bed, furniture table, delivery equipment, weighing scale with height B-P Apparatus, digital thermometer, resuscitation set, glucometer and strips.
The rest are vaccine fridge and stretcher chairs.
