Hon. John Kobina Abbam Aboah with officials from the Electricity Company of Ghana (Agona Nkwanta substation), the Energy Commission, and Messrs. Ricsah-YB Electrical Engineering Ltd. to commission Phase I of the MP’s One House, One Meter project at Mpohor.
The two-phased project which is under the auspices of my office, will ensure the supply and fixing of electricity meters in all houses and units that desire and consume electricity, within all the towns and communities across the Mpohor District.
It will also end the perennial problems that come with the sharing of single electricity meters by neighbours / households, and the absence of these meters in most houses and units as well.
Phase I of the project, which has successfully been launched and commenced, will see the distribution of a total of 1,694 meters to inhabitants at Mpohor, Adum Banso, Dominase, Treboum, Ayiem, Ampeasem, Sentiaw and Obrayebona – all being towns / communities which fall under the Agona Nkwanta sub-division of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
Phase II of the project, which will see green light shortly, will cover the towns / communities with in the Mpohor District, which fall under the Sekondi substation of the ECG.
