The Kwahu South Education Directorate has urged students and Parents to remain calm after recording nine (9) suspected cases of Coronavirus in Mpraeso Senior High School.
Nine students exhibiting symptoms relating to Coronavirus have been isolated in a holding center established in the School.
Speaking on Nkawkaw based Agoo FM Thursday; the Kwahu South Municipal Education Director Ofosu Kwakye said the samples of the students were taken on Wednesday, therefore, awaiting results.
He, therefore, called on parents troubled by the development to remain calm since the situation is under control.
“The students have been isolated from their colleagues and only one person has been assigned to give them food in their Isolation center. So nobody should panic the samples have been taken and we are awaiting results “.
Kwahu South has recorded 15 confirmed cases of Coronavirus within two weeks of confirming its first case. Eastern region case count has hit 907 as of July 6, 2020.
Mpraeso SHS is the latest Senior High School to record suspected cases with some school results tested positive.
Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has suggested Schools be shut down again.
