MTN Ghana has donated to new born babies delivered on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the Koforidua Regional hospital of the Eastern Region under the Yello Care initiative.
The donation was part of annual alms-giving by the the recognised telecommunication industry in country.
Mr Haruna Yamba Mohammed, the Eastern Regional Head of Operations for Mobile Money TSC indicated that MTN is presenting these donation across the country to (forty) 40 hospitals.
Presenting the items, Mr Haruna Yamba said MTN is donating for pregnant women who delivered on Sunday, 25 December, 2022 across the country.
He added that MTN was also giving new mothers hampers to cushion them in the recent economic crisis in forty hospital across the country.
The items were baby diapers, wipes, creams, powders, socks and other basic needs of baby mothers.
He disclosed that MTN is supporting twenty five babies in the Eastern region.
The Senior Midwife at the Koforidua regional hospital, Joana Yorke Amoah expressed gratitude to MTN Ghana for supporting the baby mothers.
The Senior Midwife called on the families especially husbands (men) to support pregnant women to enable them afford their hospital bills.
The baby mothers also commended MTN Ghana for supporting them in this festive season.
