MTN Ghana has organized a blood donation exercise to support the Eastern Regional Blood Bank in the Valentine’s Day celebration as part of corporate social responsibilities in the Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
MTN Ghana Foundation, in an effort to save Ghanaians in a critical health condition, has embarked on the ‘Save A Life Campaign’ to donate blood to support hospitals in the past years.
Ransford Gyan, the Area Sales Manager for the Eastern, Volta, and Oti Regions, articulated that the MTN Foundation stays committed to donating blood to support blood banks at all levels.
To him, MTN targets over 6,100 pints of blood across all the sixteen regions in this year’s edition of the ‘Save A Life’ blood donation exercise in the country.
He extolled the voluntary blood donors for partaking in the exercise. He stated that the exercise was with the collaboration of the Eastern Regional Blood Bank.
The blood donation exercise took place at Manya Krobo Senior High School with a target of 400 pints of blood in the Eastern Region.
The Eastern Regional Blood Donor Organizer, Madam Philomena Quayson, expressed gratitude to the MTN team for embarking on the blood donation exercise to save lives.
Madam Quayson also thanked the management of the Manya Krobo Senior High School for backing the life-saving effort by the MTN Ghana.
The students who participated in the blood donation exercise shared their experience after the process.
Some students appealed to their own colleagues to partake in their exercise as it intends to save people in critical conditions.
