As part of a marketing strategy to welcome newborn babies to the yellow family, MTN Ghana has presented 35 hampers to 25th newborn babies at the various hospitals in the Eastern Region.
The project was to showcase the human face of the MTN brand and to demonstrate commitment to care for the well-being of Ghanaians. MTN Ghana aims to alleviate pressures on parents associated after delivery.
Sales Manager for Eastern, Volta, and Oti Regions, Mr. Ransford Gyan explained that the 2024 baby hamper distribution project was a flagship initiative that embodies the spirit of giving and caring that defines MTN.
Speaking to Nhyiraba Solomon Nartey of Bryt FM after the presentations, Mr. Ransford Gyan disclosed that the distribution of the hampers was to give back to their customers and build relationships with the newborn babies in the region.
He stated that the program was launched in 2011 by MTN Ghana to make a tangible difference in the lives of families with newborns during the Christmas season.
Mr. Ransford Gyan revealed that they have distributed over 3,500 hampers across all the 16 regions since the initiative was implemented.
Building on the success of last year’s distribution, Mr. Ranford Gyan said that they are distributing 600 hampers across all regions.
He affirmed that 30 health facilities will benefit from the initiative across the 16 regions, adding that the hamper contains newborn clothing, detergents, toys, blankets, and personal care items.
Personnel’s from MTN Ghana visited Eastern Regional Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, SDA Hospital, Koforidua Polyclinic, and CDC Hospital in the Eastern Region.
The midwifery officers at the various hospitals commended MTN Ghana for celebrating 25th babies born in the Christmas season with gorgeous hampers.
The baby mothers also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the team for supporting them with gifts for their newborn babies.
