MTN Ghana has once again demonstrated its commitment to giving back to society by extending love and support to babies born on 25th December at selected hospitals in the Eastern Region.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, the MTN Foundation distributed well-packaged baby hampers to newborns delivered on Christmas Day. The gesture was aimed at celebrating life, spreading joy, and supporting mothers and their babies during the festive season.
Speaking during the donation exercise, the Territory Sales Controller for Koforidua, Mr. Ebenezer Okaikoi-Tetteh, explained that the initiative is a nationwide programme being carried out across all sixteen regions of Ghana.

According to Mr. Okaikoi-Tetteh, the Christmas baby project is an annual initiative of the MTN Foundation, designed to support newborn babies and their families while reinforcing the company’s commitment to community development.
He disclosed that the MTN team visited several health facilities in the Eastern Region, including the Eastern Regional Hospital, SDA Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, Koforidua Polyclinic, and Dwenase CHPS Compound.
Mr. Okaikoi-Tetteh further highlighted that the MTN Foundation has, over the years, implemented numerous impactful programmes in areas such as health, education, and economic empowerment as part of its corporate social responsibility agenda.
In total, forty (40) baby hampers were distributed to Christmas Day newborns in the Eastern Region.

He used the opportunity to thank MTN customers for their continued loyalty, wished them a Merry Christmas, and encouraged the public to continue using the MTN MoMo application, while reminding users to keep their PINs secure.
Expressing her appreciation, Madam Elizabeth Asantewaa Tawiah, a Midwifery Officer at the Eastern Regional Hospital, thanked the MTN Foundation for the kind gesture, describing it as timely and impactful support for both mothers and their babies.
Some of the beneficiary mothers also expressed their gratitude, praising MTN Ghana for showing love and compassion during such a special moment in their lives.
