The Police have arrested one Solomon Kwame Boadu at Racecourse, a suburb of Sowutuom in the Greater Accra Region for murder.
The suspect is alleged to have murdered Kwesi Wiafe, 73, described as “disabled”.
The suspect was arrested by Police while hiding on the ceiling of the victim’s room after police quickly rushed to the scene upon receipt of information.
A witness told police he heard the deceased shouting for help from his room at about 9:00 pm on 28th June 2021, hence called the police.
The deceased who was found in a pool of blood with multiple cuts on his head was pronounced dead at the Police Hospital.
Police took the suspect to his house where a search conducted and a pistol was retrieved.
Investigation is underway.
