Local musicians and Spinners Association in New Juaben are to hold a massive street Carnival at the forecourt of Yiadom Hwedie Palace of New Juaben to welcome the new Omanhene Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III on August 27, 2022.
The Akwaaba Street Carnival will see many musicians from Koforidua including underground artists gather to thrill the chief and residents with good music from highlife to Hiplife.
This was announced by the organizers on Sunday, August 21, 2022, when they paid homage to Daasebre during the Akwasidae.
They pledged their unflinching support for the Omanhene.
The Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area in the Eastern region of Ghana Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III on Sunday celebrated his second Akwasidae festival on the stool.
It was the first time Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III sat independently in the state to celebrate Akwasidae.
The first Akwasidae was co-chaired by Juabenhene Daasebre Otuo Siriboe III.
Beautiful traditional culture was displayed as divisional and sub-chiefs as well as other tribal chiefs, clans and families paid homage to the Omanhene.
Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III seized the opportunity to appreciate the support of illustrious sons and daughters of New Juaben who continue to support him since his enstoolment.
Daasebre reiterated and urged sub-chiefs and all and sundry to sustain peace and unity in the New Juaben traditional area to stimulate development.
He assured that New Juaben will be great and strong and will rise to its rightful place in socio-economic development and tradition upliftment.
The Omanhene of New Juaben Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III known in private life as Odehyie John Kwadwo Yeboah Gyamfi was enstooled and sworn-in in July 2022 to succeed the late Daasebre Prof. Emeritus Oti Boateng.
Daasebre Kwaku Boateng has since started initiating measures to improve the sanitation situation in the municipality by instituting massive clean-up exercises to precede every Akwasidae celebration.
He recently embarked inspection of some troubled areas in the Municipality in the company of the Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South Isaac Appaw Gyasi.
