Veteran musician Gydeu Blay Ambolley has taken a swipe at the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) saying ardently that the music group has now turned into a Mafia group.
Blay Ambolley in an interview with MC Yaa Yeboah on Bryt TV averred that there is a lot of dirt against Musiga which is really appalling.
“MUSIGAhas now become Mafia group. There were many things going on which wasn’t favourable to musician and Musiga itself. When board members realized I was going to introduce an accountability scheme, they turned against me. Because they wanted to cover their embezzlement, so they went in for Diana Hopeson as president”.
“How can someone like Diana Hopeson become a Musiga president? Diana Hopeson doesn’t have a broad knowledge on how to manage a big union like MUSIGA.
And due to the numerous scandals happening at the organization they went in for Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour) to again cover things up. Obour destroyed Musiga and the legends who have really contributed to the music industry.
Because there aren’t any proper structures at Musiga to help these music legends”, he disclosed.
