Popular Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo has revealed that his mom wanted to see him behind the pulpit to preach the word of God by being a Reverend Father.
According to him, his mom did everything she can to put him into a seminary school but her effort proved futile as he believes that it wasn’t his calling to be a priest.
John Dumelo said this in an interview with an Accra based radio station.
“I used to serve mass and at a point, I think my mother even wanted me to be Reverend father but that wasn’t my calling, so I swerved it. When you serve mass well, they will probably tell you to go to Pope John Senior High School and continue to the seminary and so on but I didn’t”, he disclosed.
John Dumelo has featured in over fifty movies both locally and internationally and now a parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
