Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known in the showbiz fraternity as LilWin has stated emphatically that, he didn’t mourn the late Bishop Bernard Nyarko because of the money he will make on YouTube.
The actor made this assertion in a viral video where he was interviewed. This response from Lilwin came after he was being quizzed on why he made a video of him mourning his late movie colleague who recently kicked the bucket, Bishop Bernard Nyarko.
According to Lilwin, when highlife musician Kofi B passed on, some Ghanaians did a video of them mourning the late musician but I don’t seem to understand why they descended on him when he did same.
“I didn’t cry because of the money I will make on Youtube. Gone were the days we there weren’t any social media platforms. Now we have a lot of them. I personally think people are making an issue out of it, because I didn’t invite the media to take the video in order post it on their various platforms so they earn income but instead doing it myself, they are making an issue out of it which doesn’t make sense to me at all. I cried because I was grieved and how bad I am going to miss Bishop. We’ve played various roles together in a lot of movies and his demise will be a great loss to the movie industry” he said.
Recounting on how he met the late Bishop Bernard Nyarko, Lilwin disclosed that, the late actor came to meet him in the movie industry when he (Bishop) returned from the United Kingdom.
“The first time I met Bishop, he was a producer then. I remember he assembled most of the Kumawood stars and shot a movie. That time, I was an upcoming actor so after the movie, I was paid GH₵100. Most people liked him (Bishop) because of the way he speaks most especially the English language.” He recalled.
