As a candidate for the Central Region Chairmanship race, Dr Joseph Kobina Essibu has diligently conducted his campaign to admire all party people in the central region who have pledged heaven and earth to crown him the next Chairman of NPP in the region.
Dr Essibu is touted as a man with a unifying spirit by many party people who believe it will only take his leadership skills to mend a defragmented party mud with personal sentiments and ego-driven leadership
According to Dr Essibu, the actions leading to the postponement of the Central Regional election of the NPP can in no term be attributed to him who by all indications was going to win the scheduled Dunkwa on-offin elections.
Meanwhile, the report shows that the Ideal College Director had no involvement in the incident leading to the filing of an injunction on the elections by some oppressed Ekumfi constituents.
The facts remain that the aggrieved person after exploring all internal dispute resolution mechanisms resorted to the Cape Coast High Court as their last resort for justice.
It is as a result of the unipartite decision of the current Chairman of the region, Mr Robert Kutin Jnr, his unforgiving and intolerance spirit that the indefinite postponement of the central region delegates conference has occurred.
The Regional Chairman hopeful stated, “Dr Essibu has no reason to instigate a court action to halt a process that was going to endorse his Chairmanship bid overwhelmingly”.
“As a party Treasurer, I, Dr Essibu by my singular effort raised resources for the conduct of major party programs when the national party did not release resources for the same. Long before becoming a party officer had always supported the party with resources. By my efforts, many Constituencies in the Central region successfully prosecuted the 2016 election that the party won 19 seats in parliament”.
Dr Essibu added, “It is for these and many more that delegates of the NPP in the central region are calling for my leadership, a leadership they say is an Ideal resolve to break the ‘8’”.
