The swift intervention of Personnel of the Northern Regional Fire Headquarters Sub-Station saved a metal container used as a Hairdressing Salon from total fire ruins.
The Station received the fire call early in the morning and it was observed that a Hairdressing Salon had been engulfed by fire.
The Crew tactfully tackled and prevented it from spreading to other adjoining stores within Nine (9) minutes and finally extinguished it.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the fire occurred as a result of refuse burning behind the Salon.
Two (2) hairdryers, a fridge, artificial hairs, some hair creams and parts of the ceiling were damaged by the fire.
However, the crew salvaged some of the hair creams, a washing sink, and adjoining stores from the ravages of fire.
