The Northern Regional Women’s Organiser for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Madam John Mahama Charity has supported the family of the late Alhassan Mariam who passed away at Tamale West Hospital on June 11.
The items included diapers, detergents, assorted lactogen, wipers, baby dresses and many more when she was accompanied by the some party executives at constituency and regional levels respectively on Thursday, June 15.
According to her, she was touched by the situation the family found itself, and that the only way she could show love was to support by donating items that the child would need, especially someone who has lost her mother.
Tolon NDC Constituency Women’s Organiser, her deputy, northern regional organiser of the NDC and her entourage accompanied her to the community which is a suburb of Tolon Constituency.
The late Mariam died at the Tamale West Hospital as a results of complications from child birth.
The NDC regional women’s organiser’s attention was drawn to it when she watched Sagani TV’s Inusah Hamza Lansah on Begu Neeya on June 12, narrating the condition the family went through to lose their wife.
The late Mariam’s family on their part thanked madam Charity for the support and promised to use the items to support child accordingly.
On his part, Inusah Hamza Lansah called on individuals and organisations to also extend a hand of support to the family, calling on husbands to encourage their wives to always visit clinics for antenatal care.
