On the second day of his visit to the northern region, the Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban SK Bagbin called on His Majesty, Ndan Yaa Naa Abukari in Yendi.
The Speaker is in the region to kickstart the celebration of 30 years of uninterrupted parliamentary democracy in Ghana.
The celebration will be marked by a mock Parliamentary Sitting in Wa, a Public Forum in Tamale, and a health walk and football match in Bolga. Similar activities will be held in various parts of the country throughout the year.
Discussions in Yendi were focused on economic and social development of the region.
The Rt. Hon Speaker was accompanied by his spouse and Members of Parliament in the region, as well as Staff of Parliament and the Speaker’s Office.
