Students in Basic 7 at Tolon Model D/A Junior High School, located in the Tolon Constituency, are currently forced to sit on the floor during lessons.
These students, who were newly admitted at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year, face significant challenges as they have no desks or chairs to use while copying notes or doing class exercises.
In response, parents have been asked to contribute GHC 200 each to help the school purchase furniture for their children.
This situation highlights ongoing concerns about inadequate resources in schools, particularly in rural areas.
