Elder Nana Debrah Bekoe, the Chief Executive Officer of As I Grow (AIG) a nonprofit organization, and an Elder in the Church of Pentecost, has called upon church leadership, members, and individuals across various denominations to prioritize caring for the needy and less privileged within their communities in Ghana.
Elder Debrah Bekoe has a longstanding commitment to supporting widows, the less privileged, and the elderly, particularly during festive seasons.
This year, he extended his generosity by donating pieces of cloth to widows, the aged, and needy women in the Larteh township.
These donations were distributed across several churches, including the Roman Catholic Church, Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church, and three local assemblies within the Church of Pentecost.
The Motivation Behind the Donations:
In an interview, Elder Debrah Bekoe expressed concern for the lack of hope and joy experienced by widows, the less privileged, and the elderly during festive occasions.
He emphasized the need for churches, individuals, and leaders to actively contribute to sustaining the happiness of marginalized members of society, thereby enhancing overall life expectancy.
Recipients of the donations, including widows and the elderly, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Elder Debrah Bekoe for his support. They offered prayers for his continued blessings and ability to provide ongoing assistance to those in need.
Elder Debrah Bekoe took the opportunity to acknowledge the support of individuals who contributed to his charitable efforts and urged everyone to prioritize humanitarian projects, emphasizing the importance of making life more enjoyable for all individuals in society.
