Registrar for Juaben traditional council has revealed that in no account did Nana Otuo Siribuo demand the Assembly members to go on their knees to apologize for anything as opposed to the circulating report that, the Chief had demanded they go on their knees to apologize for not voting for the President’s District Chief Executive nominee
In an interview with Abena Opokua Ahwenee on the “Efa Wo Ho” morning show, he clarified the incident by stating that it was never true that Nana Otuo Siribuo asked the assembly members to go on their knees.
“The chief asked why they didn’t come to him if they had issues as to why they didn’t want to vote and had to go to radio. It was rather the Gyaasehene who said, if they were sorry for their conduct then they should go on their knees as an appropriate means of rendering their apologies which they did voluntarily” he said.
According to him, the Omanhene for Juaben is a dignified man and has no personal interest as to who the assembly vote for or not and so many false reports circulating are only targeted to undermine the integrity of the Chief and must therefore be disregarded.
“it is only expedient that these clarifications are made through the media so the public will get the facts right and not be misled by propaganda and false circulation” he added.
