Energy minister, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh had an exciting time earlier today, engaging the 4th cohort of the YoLe Leaders Fellows under the auspices of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The programme dubbed “In the Shoes of Achievers” provided the minister the opportunity to share with them humbling moments, which has culminated in his own precepts of life, and has guided me thus far.
The minister, among others asked these future leaders not underestimate their individual capabilities but rather use every opportunity that comes their way as a stepping stone to becoming better than yesterday.
Dr Opoku Prempeh also sought to use the platform to remind them of the essence of leadership which is to contribute positively to the welfare of humanity.
Leadership, he told them, for him, has always been about being able to make an impact in people’s lives.
He also asked them not to lose sight of the fact that, there is a supernatural power that rules in the affairs of men which belongs to the almighty God.
“It is my belief that, this modest conversation today; walking them through my stints with the medical profession, business and politics will go a long way to inspire them to become better than some of us.
I wish these young leaders well as they use this learning curve positively to their advantage” he added.
