Public libraries across the country joined in the celebration of the National Mobile Library Day held last Monday.
Students and parents from various communities had the opportunity to experience the interior of a mobile library van, and participate in a cross-section of educational activities.
Libraries have long promoted literacy by providing relevant reading materials for people of all ages and literacy levels, as well as programs for children and adults.
The mobile library vans offer library services to communities that do not have static libraries.
