National Commission for Civic Education Office in Kwahu East, in collaboration with the Forestry Commission, Ghana National Fire Service and National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), has embarked on a community outreach programme.
The outreach programme focused on bushfires and related issues.
The engagements took place in the Abene, Hweehwee and Atta-ne-Atta communities.
The NCCE District Director, Ms. Roberta Essilfuah Koah entreated the community members to protect the environment and explained how important it is for every citizen to do so.
She referred to Article 41(k) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana which states that; ‘it shall be the duty of every citizen to protect and safeguard the environment’.
