The General Secretary of the NDC and Former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Fiifi Kwetey, has assured that, real Political renewal starts from within so the NDC must become better and better to be able to produce good leaders.
According to him, real political renewal must begin with internal reflection.
“Our party must become better and better, because that’s the only way we can produce leaders who truly will be able to place this country where it ought to be,” he said.
Speaking on PM Express on Joy News, he said political parties cannot criticize opponents for actions they themselves have engaged in.
“You can’t simply be attacking your opponent when you were doing the same thing as your opponent,” he added.
He stressed that accountability should apply to all political actors, especially those entrusted with leadership.
“To whom a lot is given, a lot is expected,” he stated
Mr. Kwetey emphasized that, for a government to be credible, it needs to be consistent, truthful, and ready to own up to and fix past errors.
