Bibiani-Ahwiaso-Bekwai constituency communication team member of the NDC and aspiring Assembly Member for Dominebo electoral area, Solomon Adisam (Solo) is highly in support with the MP for Asawaase and former Minority Chief Whip, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak on his statement “Let’s begin to think beyond partisan lines”.
Adisam says MPs are there to represent their constituents and they also work based on views of the people.
However, he is also of the view that President Akufo Addo’s government staffers are too many and should be downsised by merging some ministries like railway, transport and roads as well as fishery and aquaculture, agric among others but the MPs refused to reject the appointees saying “we are all working in the interest of Ghana but sometimes we should check the Executive (presidency)in order to promote checks and balances to shun abuse of power”.
On other note, he is convinced that former president John Dramani Mahama will bag at least 95% votes from NDC’s branch executives in their upcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries respectively.
“Also, JDM will win by 65% or above in the 2024 general polls, buttressing his point, he said the NPP have just quadrupled the negativities they accused Mahama for during his era”, he stated.
Assuring Ghanaians of their former leader’s return, he again said most Ghanaians are yearning for Mahama’s comeback including some NPP members and there’ll be no runoff insisting that 65% of the total votes in general election will be Mahama’s.
