The largest opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, has directed its executives in all Constituencies across the country to organize events to mourn the founder of the party Jerry John Rawlings.
The General Secretary of NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia told Journalists in Accra that, the late former President belongs to the larger political family, NDC, therefore will mourn him as such.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia accused President Akufo-Addo government of attempt to sideline the NDC party from the funeral of the late President.
He alleged that Akufo-Addo ordered the book of condolence to be taking away from the State House before the arrival of John Mahama and his entourage Friday afternoon.
As a result, the party has opened a book of condolence at its Headquarters where Mr. Mahama and other bigwigs of the party recorded their condolences.
