The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Lower West Akyem Constituency of the Eastern Region has given overwhelmed endorsement to Mr. Owen Kwame Frimpong to lead the Party as Parliamentary Candidate for 2024 General Election.
The election which was supposed to be held in May 2023 was finally held on 25th August due to internal legal issues from some of the aspirants and their supporters.
At the end of polls in Asamankese, Mr πΆπππ π²ππππ ππππππππ pulled 1013 Votes to lead the Party.
His contenders, π΅ππππ π΅πππ π΄πππππ had 38 votes and π΄ππππππ π¨π ππππ also had 113. πΉπππππππ votes were 6 and π»ππππ π½πππ πͺπππ – 1170 ,π»ππππ π½ππππ π½ππππ πͺπππ – 1164 respectively.
Owen Kwame Frimpong is a 46-year-old Shipping Consultant.
In the 2020 Election, the governing New Patriotic Partyβs (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Lower West Akim, Charles Acheampong, won the seat for the party and polled 27, 527, to beat his main contender from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Michael Adu-Sei, who garnered 19,744 votes.
Acheampongβs win affirms the dominance of the NPP in the constituency since 2000.
