All the 106 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Members of Parliament in the Seventh Parliament of Ghana are marching to the headquarters of the Electoral Commission (EC) today Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
The march is to prevail on the EC to overturn its declaration of President Akufo-Addo as winner of the 2020 election.
There has been a series of protests by NDC supporters across the country against the EC’s declaration of President Akufo-Addo as the president-elect of Ghana after the December 7 polls.
Meanwhile, Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu, has hinted his side of the House will not participate in the inauguration of President Nana Akufo-Addo for a second term in office unless parliamentary results at Techiman South are re-collated.
The president is due to be sworn in on 7th of January 2021 before parliamentarians at Parliament house.
The NDC insists it won the seat.
Mr Iddrisu said the declaration of the seat in favour of the New Patriotic Party’s Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah was fraudulent and they will not allow it to stand.
